The HOPC has a unique format, allowing players two ways to make it the Championship event:

THE HAWAII ONLINE POKER CHAMPIONSHIP LEADERS LEADER BOARD

The first way to qualify is through the ‘Hawaii Online Poker Championship Leaders Leader Board’.  Players can play anytime during the tournament period (from Sunday, November 1st at 4AM through Sunday, December 20th at 1AM)-  to gain points and increase their ‘bank roll’.  The 10 players with the highest bank roll at the end of each week (Sunday at 1AM) will advance to the Championship.  The Leader Board will reset every week and start back up on Sundays at 4AM.

TUESDAY NIGHT WEEKLY “HO QUALIFIER” EVENTS

The second way that players can make it to the Championship event is through eight Weekly Qualifier events, held every Tuesday night at 8PM, from November 3rd through December 22nd.  The top 10% of players in these tournaments (six seats GUARANTEED every week) will also advance to the Championship event.

THE 2009 HAWAII ONLINE POKER CHAMPIONSHIP MAIN EVENT

The players who qualify from these events will make it into the final event, where the chance to win prizes,  glory and the title of the “2009 Hawaii Online Poker Champion” will be yours! The main event will be held on Sunday, December 27th at 12PM.
